Accommodation Support Services

CatholicCare provides a variety of accommodation services to adults with an intellectual disability. We have one program that is ‘block’ funded (TWIN -Towards Independence) in which we provide support for 6 individuals in the ACT.

We also provide a number of services to people who are identified as sole recipients of funding. These include ISP (Individual Support Package) recipients and ‘Accommodation Support’ programs.

We decide on an individual basis whether to accept these clients into our program, based on our ability to provide a quality service.

Dorothy Sales Cottages provide accommodation to 8 people in 2 cottages, who have an acquired brain injury. The support is provided in a home like environment, whilst providing the appropriate medical care needed. The service has an on-site hydrotherapy pool and we also provide mobility and exercise therapy/programs. The cottages are staffed by nurses and disability support workers. There is one respite bed available for people with severe acquired brain injury.
