Youth Connections

Youth Connections offers a range of flexible and individualized services to young people who are most at risk of disengaging from school through to those who are severly disengaged from education, family and community.

Youth Connections supports young people aged between 11 and 19 years of age to attain their Year 12 or equivalent and to help them make a successful transition through education and onto further education, training or work.

Adolescent Mediation & Family Therapy (FACES)

FACES is a counselling service for young people (aged between 10-21 years) and their parents or caregivers. The aim of the program is to help improve the communication between parents and their children. The counsellors work towards helping families develop skills to resolve these difficulties.
Payment is on a sliding scale according to income.

Homelinx

Homelinx is a CatholicCare Youth Housing program funded by the ACT Department of Disability Housing and Community Services. The Program provides a housing outreach service to young people aged 15-25 years, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and live in the ACT region. The Program can offer assistance to young people by helping them to find affordable, stable and independent accommodation as well as teaching participants living skills such as budgeting, cooking and cleaning to assist them to gain and maintain independence. The Program operates Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.

Reconnect

Reconnect is an early intervention Program that aims to reconnect young people aged 12 to 18 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and their families. The Program has strong linkages with community agencies and offers an outreach model of service delivery. Reconnect aims to keep young people connected with their families, school and community by increasing opportunities, choices and support. Reconnect is funded by Family and Community Services, Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) and operates Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm. 

CatholicCare operates the Reconnect program in the ACT, as well as the Central West including West Wyalong Cowra, Grenfell, Canowindra, Blayney, Molong and Boorowa.  The offices are located in Watson, Cowra and West Wyalong.

Student & Family Counselling

This program offers counselling and support for students (and their families) attending Catholic schools in the Canberra-Goulburn Archdiocese. The focus is to assist a student with any issues relating to their emotional, social or educational wellbeing.

Youth and Wellbeing Program

The Youth and Wellbeing Program is funded through ACT Health. The purpose is to support young people in the community between 12 to 25 years of age who have a mental health condition and/or drug and alcohol, anger and behavioural concerns and related issues. The staff at Youth and Wellbeing aim to encourage resilience and independence through a process of support, education and advocacy. Referrals can be made over the phone on the numbers listed below.
