CatholicCare Quality Policy

 

 

CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn will make an assurance to the staff, volunteers, consumers and clients, stakeholders, carers, guardians and the general community that the organisation will:

 

  • Continue to adhere to the mission statement.
  • Continue to deliver to the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn a service of high standard and one which is founded on Gospel values and the dignity of all people.
  • Continue to adhere to the prescribed standards and professional guidelines as dictated by the discipline in question
     
  • Continue to actively apply for new business to expand the organisation.
  • Recognise the importance of highly professional and competent staff.  The organisation will continue to achieve this by careful selection and access to appropriate training.
  • Ensure that the organisation remains financially viable.
  • Ensure that the views of interested parties are effectively communicated and appropriately considered.
  • Maintain a Quality Management System (QMS), in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000.
  • Ensure that all interested parties will have an understanding of the QMS, will be adequately trained in its particulars, and the QMS is reviewed for suitability.  

 

Exclusions

CatholicCare seeks exclusion for design and development of products and calibrating of equipment Standard 7. ISO 9001 Standards. Any equipment used in programs is returned to the manufacturer for maintenance.

Outcomes: Consumers/clients benefit from best practice and continuous improvement to achieve their goals

 

Responsibilities and Outcomes

 

All employees of CatholicCare are responsible for implementing maintaining and continuously improving our QMS.  Through their efforts, they are contributing to the achievements of the CatholicCare mission founded on Gospel values and the dignity of all people, and the vision of CatholicCare to continue to be a leader in community care through:

  • the ongoing development and implementation of innovative service models
  • continuing to make a positive contribution to social policy
  • advocacy and lobbying on behalf of disadvantaged service users
