The worth of Volunteers – Devoted People Helping People in Need

Do you want to make a difference?

Do you want to help people?

CatholicCare wants you to help us to help others

CatholicCare depends on its volunteers to deliver comprehensive support services to the Canberra community. The service provided to a wide range of people by volunteers is able to overcome the potential power differential that can emerge between paid workers and clients. Clients also perceive volunteer service as truly altruistic because volunteers are not financially rewarded for their work. The use of volunteers in the family support service is a positive contribution towards bringing the Canberra community together and overcoming individualism within society.
